The CDCP does not provide free dentistry. As noted on the government website, CDCP helps cover only part of the cost of some dental work. After we find out what dental treatments you need, we can figure out the portion that CDCP does not cover, allowing us to estimate your cost after CDCP. If you agree with the proposed treatment plan, we will then perform the treatments, take care of the CDCP billing paperwork for you, and bill you for the balance.
If you have already used the CDCP at another dental office, please let us know because there are some procedures that have limited coverage and you may have to pay for these yourself if you've already used up the coverage.
CDCP eligibility and coverage amount can change from year to year depending on your income as reported in your tax return. The government determines if you qualify and how much your coverage will be. If there are any changes in your coverage, it is your responsibility to inform us as soon as possible, as we do not have access to your private information. You will need to pay for what CDCP does not cover.
